Ali Hakim Javadi, Head of the National Computer Trade Organization, stated that around 80 clauses in the Seventh Development Plan are related to the field of communications and information technology. He added: “In this regard, holding events aligned with the goals set out in this plan is essential. Given the objectives targeted in this year’s KITEX exhibition, this event serves as a key tool for outlining and facilitating the achievement of the goals set forth in the country’s Seventh Five-Year Development Plan.” A member of the Communications Regulatory Commission at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology continued: “This plan, in addition to influencing the Ministry of ICT and private sector organizations, also encourages other sectors—such as industry, healthcare, banking, economy, and services—to adopt technological tools. Therefore, aligned with the country’s macro-level policies, the KITEX event is a suitable opportunity for showcasing the achievements of the digital economy and can become a platform for selling and presenting technology-based goods, services, and innovations to prospective markets.” Hakim Javadi also described KITEX 2025 as a tool for realizing the slogan of the year, stating: “Since this year’s KITEX exhibition is focused on the development of technology exports and the promotion of ICT producers’ capabilities, companies in this sector can showcase their range of services, capabilities, and products to contribute to the export of technological goods. They can also take advantage of the presence of foreign investors to attract investment and both domestic and international partners. The geographical position of Kish Island, with its proximity to regional and especially Arab markets, further amplifies the importance of leveraging this platform.” The former Deputy Minister of ICT announced the readiness of the National Computer Trade Organization (NCTO) to participate in the event. He emphasized that regional chapters of the organization—especially in southern provinces such as Fars, Hormozgan, and Khuzestan—will play a significant role in the event due to their physical proximity to the exhibition venue. The national body will also coordinate with the event’s policy-making and executive councils to communicate its strategies for a strong and effective presence at the exhibition. According to the head of the NCTO, the formation of regional pavilions is part of the organization’s strategic plan for participation in KITEX. These pavilions will collectively present the achievements and performance of the regional chapters in an integrated manner. According to this report, the Kish International and Specialized Exhibition of Information and Communication Technology (KITEX 2025) will be held from May 13 to 16, 2025, at the Kish Island International Exhibition Center. The event will adopt an export-oriented approach with the goal of showcasing the capabilities of domestic ICT producers and completing the innovation, science and technology, production, and commercialization chain of products and services in global markets. The event is held under the slogan: Kish; the Gateway to Exporting ICT Products and Services.
